Over the weekend, the embargo lifted on “Deadpool,” and critics were able to share their reviews on the cheeky, R-rated comic book movie (here’s ours). And while press were treated to one post-credit scene for their screenings, it looks like fans are going to have something a little extra when they buy a ticket this weekend.
Chatting with Cinemablend, the film’s co-writer Rhett Reese revealed there’s going to be another little tease tagged on the end of the movie. “They held back one particular, basically a second coda. They wanted to hold it back until February 11th, until the actual official movie is in the movies — so you can tease audiences that there’s two codas and you haven’t seen one of them,” he said.
Of course, what is featured in the coda remains to be seen, but if the campaign for the film has taught us anything, it’s to expect the unexpected. Last night, Deadpool popped up at the tail end of Esurance Super Bowl ad — check it out below.
“Deadpool” opens on February 12th.
