After more than 25 years without a U.S. theatrical release, the surreal and playful ‘Jane B. par Agnes V.’ finally screened for audiences in New York City last October. The non-traditional biopic explores the life and times of a capricious woman, played by (and based on) Jane Birkin, the iconic fashion symbol and renowned singer, actress and model. Varda’s film provides the actress with the opportunity to explore her views on herself, the perceptions of her being to others, and the whimsical nature of acting and performing.

The film was screened at New York’s Lincoln Plaza Cinemas in October and is now available to stream on Amazon.
