Did you watch HBO‘s “Ballers” last summer? Well, if the answer was no, then you were one of the few who weren’t. Dwayne Johnson‘s sports world drama was a massive hit for the cable network, becoming their most watched comedy in six years, with a weekly audience of 8.8 million viewers. That ranks it third on HBO’s all time list, putting it behind “Sex And The City” and the first season of “Hung.” And the network is hoping to see those numbers get even bigger with season two.
Dwayne Johnson and Rob Corddry are back, along with old and news faces, for what looks like a more raucous season. In case you haven’t watched the show, it’s essentially in the vein of “Entourage,” following a former athlete turned agent, who tries to manage a roster of talent and keep them out of trouble, while getting the best deal out there for them. So yeah, The Rock is kind of like Ari, except he’s more earnest instead of being an asshole.
