Alejandro Amenábar’s is back behind the camera after a six-year hiatus with his new psychological horror-thriller “Regression.” The film had its world premiere at the San Sebastian Film Festival last September and was released in Spain the following month.
The film’s official synopsis reads: “Minnesota, 1990. Detective Bruce Kenner (Ethan Hawke) investigates the case of young Angela (Emma Watson), who accuses her father, John Gray (David Dencik), of an unspeakable crime. When John unexpectedly and without recollection admits guilt, renowned psychologist Dr. Raines (David Thewlis) is brought in to help him relive his memories and what they discover unmasks a horrifying nationwide mystery.”
In the exclusive clip above, Ethan Hawke’s character falls prey to the horrific figures he has been warned about. “Regression” is set to hit theaters this Friday, February 5.
