While Tom Hiddleston is the famous, hunky center of Ben Wheatley‘s surreal “High-Rise,” the revelation for many might be Luke Evans. The actor gives a performance in the film unlike anything we’ve seen from him before, and two new clips from the movie highlight his magnetic turn.
Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller, Elisabeth Moss, James Purefoy, Peter Ferdinando and Keeley Hawes co-star in the adaptation of J.G. Ballard’s novel, which finds all the action taking place within the confines of a futuristic development where the inhabitants are separated by class and status. But one man who chooses to break the barriers is Evans’ Richard Wilder, and you can see him do just that in these two scenes.
“High-Rise” opens in the U.S. via On Demand, Amazon Video and iTunes on April 28th and in theaters on May 13th. Watch the clip and check out some new images below.
