The film’s official synopsis reads: “‘Spaceship’ is a visionary teenage film about Lucidia, a British cyber-goth girl who fakes her own alien abduction, forcing her father Gabriel to search for her in a surreal world of black holes and unicorns where everyone is looking for a way out. Made by the producer of Sundance hit ‘Appropriate Behavior,’ and starring an ensemble cast of young, up-and-coming actors from the U.K., ‘Spaceship’ has a standout soundtrack of electronic, indie, and folk music, including songs by Best Coast, Au Revoir Simone, and The Incredible String Band. ‘Spaceship’ is a wild cinematic experience –  a magical ode to rebellious youth, outsiders questioning the need to fit in, and the teenage search for meaning in a chaotic adult world.”

“Spaceship” will have its world premiere this Saturday, March 12 at the SXSW Film Festival. Taylor previously won the Special Jury Prize at SXSW in 2010 with his short film “Kids Might Fly.”
