Director John Carney, who previously brought audiences “Begin Again” and “Once,” is again in familiar territory with on a film geared toward capturing the attention of music lovers. Carney’s 2016 Sundance hit “Sing Street” argued that loving the ’80s isn’t ironic anymore. Exhibit A was the teenage Dubliner musicians striving to make their voices heard.
The clip above (exclusively via Yahoo) shows those musicians, including the main character Conor, playing alongside his kick-ass band of teenage comrades. Whether it’s the hilariously confident, cowboy-clad bass player or the jazzy song itself, (entitled “The Riddle of the Model,)” the clip showcases everyone involved in one boy’s mission to get the girl and become a true rock star.
