The upcoming SundanceTV series “Hap and Leonard” stars James Purefoy and Michael Kenneth Williams as two lifelong friends, Hap Collins (Purefoy), an East Texas white boy with a weakness for Southern women, and Leonard Pine (Williams), a gay black Vietnam vet with a hot temper. When Hap’s seductive ex-wife Trudy (Christina Hendricks) resurfaces with a deal they can’t refuse, a simple get-rich-quick scheme snowballs into bloody mayhem.

This clip seems to outline both the premise of the show’s initial angle and the main characters’ relationship through boxing. “Hap and Leonard” debuts on March 2 at 10pm on SundanceTV.
