“Stargate” creator Brad Wright to launch time-travel drama “Travelers” for Netflix, with “Will & Grace” alum Eric McCormack to star. The drama takes place in a future in which the last surviving humans have discovered how to send consciousness back through time. McCormack will star as FBI special agent Grant MacLaren.

– Ronit Elkabetz, an actress and filmmaker who was a major talent in the Israeli film world, died at 51 after battling cancer. Her 2014 film, “Gett: The Trail of Viviane Amsalem,” won the Israeli Ophir Award for best film, the Jewish State’s Academy Award equivalent
– American experimental pop group Xiu Xiu will present a one-night-only concert devoted to the music of David Lynch. The event will take place Saturday, June 4 at the Alamo Drafthouse in San Francisco. Bay Area Lynch fans can get over to the Drafthouse website to snag tickets now. On the group’s relationship to Lynch, bandmate Jamie Stewart said, “The music of ‘Twin Peaks’ is everything that we aspire to as musicians and is everything that we want to listen to as music fans. It is romantic, it is terrifying, it is beautiful, it is unnervingly sexual.”
-The Nantucket Film Festival has announced its 2016 film program, including opening night film “Life, Animated,” opening day film “Finding Dory,” closing night film “Hunt for the Wilderpeople” and a variety of other exciting picks, including “Don’t Think Twice,” “My Blind Brother” and “All This Panic.” Check out the full lineup here.
