How much Marvel can you handle in one month? May will see two mega properties from the comic book company hit the big screen, “Captain America: Civil War” and a few weeks later, “X-Men: Apocalypse.” It’s enough to make you want to lie down a moment. And just as the marketing campaign for one starts to come to an end, the other is gearing up.
The first clip has arrived for ‘Apocalypse,’ with Rose Byrne‘s Moira sharing with Xavier the intelligence she has on what might be the all powerful first mutant, and his four sidekicks/horseman. And after that, you can take a stroll through the X-Mansion, in a new featurette.
As for the actual movie, Bryan Singer offered a little tease about Wolverine’s role, with his cameo revealed in the latest trailer. And the director promises the character’s appearance will have some weight.
“Make of [the scene from the trailer] what you want,” he told Empire. “I will say, it’s not simple. There’s something more pivotal that occurs with that. It hints to a sequence that again fits within the canon of all six movies, and the birth of a new direction. It’s not insignificant, nor is it simply just a throw-in…It’s not the only shot you’re gonna see, let’s put it that way.”
Theories about Logan’s role? Let us know below. “X-Men: Apocalypse” opens on May 27th.
