With a movie that broke the all-time highest-grossing domestic box office record, it was surely just a matter of time before the much-hyped J.J. Abrams “Star Wars” follow-up would be treated to the internet’s favorite satirical YouTube channel.

“Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens” picks back up a few decades after Episode III. With the Galactic Empire destroyed, it seems like peace and prosperity will finally come to the galaxy. But just as Hydra’s heads grow back with each seemingly decisive blow, so too does evil, this time coming back as the cruel Kylo Ren and his minions, The First Order. Joined by Han Solo, a renegade storm trooper, and others from the Resistance, a tough scavenger must pass on a top-secret map to bring back the only power that can fight such immense evil: The Jedi Knights.

Honest Trailer takes no time to hilariously dive right in to point out the pressures and potential backlash the movie (and its much beloved franchise) could have suffered had it not been a runaway critical and commercial success. From unbelievable character development to the strange inclusions of memorabilia, the YouTube channel pulls all the stops to tease the sci-fi favorite.

“Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens” is set to come out on DVD and Blu-ray on April 5, but make sure to catch the hilarious trailer above before sitting (back) down to watch J.J. Abrams’ stellar addition to an iconic series.
