Most people dismiss UFO sightings and other stories as fictionalized attention-seeking. Government officials provide understandable explanations, sighters are discredited and the entire story is generally forgotten within a fortnight. But famed video game director Keith Arem (in his first feature film) is set to discredit right back and make you question just what the infamous Phoenix Lights incident was really all about. How could thousands of people, over hundreds of miles, make up such an extraordinary story of seeing bright triangular lights floating above their heads? Well, unlike the United States government and media pundits, Arem doesn’t think they are.
Mixing actual events with fictionalized accounts, “The Phoenix Incident” will make you question whether Arem has lost his mind, or excited to share a story so many have tried to bury. By integrating the Pheonix Lights incident with the Hale Bop story, along with the Occult and a human story, Arem begins to paint a picture that is hard for viewers to ignore.
You can check out the second of our five exclusive behind-the-scenes clips above that Indiewire will be running through the week. The clip focuses on the how the story came to fruition for this fact-based sci-fi thriller.
