In the latest “Inside Amy Schumer” episode, the comedian took us back to our elementary school days when we’d watch Nick Jr., but this time she added a dark twist.
In her hilarious sketch titled, “The Knick Jr.,” poking fun at the Steven Soderbergh period drama, the adults are out and child doctors are in, with Thackery (Harrison Wright) being the head honcho. The opening scene shows the mini surgeon preparing to perform an intense prodecure in front of an audience of professionals. After it completely fails, he decides to get a sugar high, drowning his bad luck in pixy sticks.
When Schumer arrives later on, she is wearing a nose piece attached to a pair of glasses. When Thackery asks “Who got your nose?” she replies that it has been “ravaged by cooties.” The doctor then suggests that he perform a risky – and a little confusing – procedure on her that will change her life.
The sketch is pretty daring with gruesome visuals intertwined with the silly chemistry between the child actors. Soderbergh even approved of the clip tweeting out that he thought it was hilarious.
