In the new sci-fi horror thriller “Beacon Point,” a group of hikers on the Appalachian Trail become lost from the main trail and stumble across an ancient secret that threatens their safety. Soon, they’ll have to confront the very nature of fear within themselves. “Beacon Point” stars Rachel Marie Lewis (“House of Good and Evil,” “Lie with Me,”), Jon Briddell (“Pretty Boy,” “Misogynist”), Eric Goins (“The Watch,” “Dirty Grandpa”), Jason Burkey (“October Baby,” “Chloe”), and RJ Shearer (“Paper Towns,” “The DUFF.”). “Beacon Point” is the directorial debut of Eric Blue, known simply as Blue. Blue has directed a number of short films that have screened around the world. His 2007 short “Lost Crossing” starred Melissa McBride who plays Carol Peletier in “The Walking Dead” and won Best of Show at the 2007 Accolade Competition. Blue and Traci Caroll co-wrote “Beacon Point.” The film is being distributed by BlueLantern Films, an award-winning Georgia-based indie film and video production company.
“Beacon Point” will premiere at the Dances With Films Festival on Friday June 10th at 11:45pm in the Chinese Theater in Los Angeles California.
