In the upcoming horror film “Don’t Breathe,” three teens Rocky (Jane Levy), Money (Daniel Zovatto), and Alex (Dylan Minnette) successfully rob affluent homes for cash and belongings. When they find out there’s a blind war veteran (Stephen Lang) who keeps a large legal settlement locked in house, they decide to case the joint for a big score. But they soon discover that he’s actually a strong, gun-wielding killer who knows his own house like the back of his hand. Now the three teens are the mercy of a man who uses his visual handicap as a weapon. Watch the trailer above.
Directed by Fede Alvarez, the man behind the 2013 “Evil Dead” remake, “Don’t Breathe” premiered at this year’s SXSW Festival to positive reviews. Levy is best known for her starring role in the ABC sitcom “Suburgatory” and her starring role in Alvarez’s “Evil Dead.” Zovatto starred in the widely acclaimed horror film “It Follows” and has a recurring role on “Fear the Walking Dead.” Minnette had starring roles in TNT’s crime drama “Saving Grace” and the most recent “Goosebumps” film. Though Lang is probably best known for his role in James Cameron’s “Avatar,” he’s also collaborated with director Michael Mann on many occasions, including his TV series “Crime Story,” “Manhunter,” and “Public Enemies.”
Original “Evil Dead” director Sam Raimi serves as a producer on “Don’t Breathe.” It’s set to be released on August 26th.
