Spring break forever, y’all. In the upcoming “Sundown,” a comedy starring Camilla Belle, Sara Paxton and Devon Werkheiser, two high-school seniors trek to Mexico to woo their crushes during a week of EDM-accompanied partying. Ahead of its theatrical release, Indiewire has obtained an exclusive clip of Fernando Lebrija’s new film.
In the scene, two bros arrive at the Puerto Vallarta airport and are quickly swindled into accepting a taxi ride from an enterprising cabbie named Chuy. The “Mexican Jedi” has a child rip the name tags off their luggage as they exit the airport, then pretends to be from their hotel after the child brings the tags to him before the party-pilgrims notice they’re missing. They know something’s off but aren’t the kind to question what seems like a good thing.
“Sundown” also features appearances by such well-known DJs as Steve Aoki, Paul Oakenfold, Chris Lake and Adrian Lux. Pantelion is releasing the film on May 13.
