The marketing behind the highly anticipated Netflix revival of “Gilmore Girls” has been slowly building up for quite some time. The release of official episode stills sent the Internet abuzz when they were released last month, but that’s nothing compared to the news revealed today.
Thanks to Lauren Graham’s visit on Ellen, we not only have the first poster for the upcoming revival (see below), but we also have an official title: “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.”
“I cry trying to talk about it,” Graham told DeGeneres during their sit-down. “I feel so lucky to get to do it. But it’s also been so bizarre. The set is the same but we’re in a different place. It’s like it was yesterday but also it was not yesterday. I love this character so much and I had the same feeling I had when I first opened that script, which was such a deep connection. To do it again, who would have imagined!”
The new subhead, “A Year in the Life,” seems to confirm speculation that each of the revival’s four 90-minute installments will cover a different season in the life of our favorite characters (winter, spring, summer and fall). While there’s no official release date set for the series, the poster below confirms it’s definitely “coming soon.”
