The 8th Annual BAMcinemaFest has announced its full lineup, including opening night feature “Little Men,” closing night film “Dark Night” and a centerpiece screening of “Wiener-Dog.” Other highlights include “Kate Plays Christine,” “Little Sister,” “Newtown” and

– Jean-Pierre Léaud will receive an honorary Palme d’Or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. He’s had a legendary career in French New Wave, starring in films such as Truffaut’s “The 400 Blows,” “Antoine and Colette,” and “Stolen Kisses.”
– Tom Sizemore has joined the USA Network drama “Shooter.” The “Saving Private Ryan” alum is joining a cast that includes Ryan Phillippe & Omar Epps.
– First Look Media has announced that they are developing a film script from writer/director, David Riker, based on unpublished reporting by Jeremy Scahill, one of three founding editors of The Intercept. No word yet on what to expect from the film, but given Scahill’s track record, it will likely be incendiary.
– The American Pavilion at the 2016 Cannes International Film Festival has announced its programming for the run of the festival, including panels addressing such topics as VR and Storytelling, Women In Film, The Music Of Cannes, The State Of Documentary Film, American Producers In Cannes, Short Film Financing, and Value, Talent, And The International Cast.
