One of the year’s most charming indie movies is undoubtably Lorene Scafaria’s “The Meddler.” The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last September and finally hit theaters in late April, bringing with it one of Susan Sarandon’s best performances to date. The legendary actress plays a recent California transplant who has upended her own life to move closer to her daughter (Rose Byrne), who is dealing with her own big-time issues. A love interest is thrown into the mix courtesy of JK Simmons, and while you may think the plot has all the cliches you might expect from a coming-of-late-age comedy-drama, Scafaria constantly surprises with a warm and emotionally honest screenplay.
With the film continuing to make a sizable dent at the indie box office, Indiewire is excited to be giving away the official poster signed by Sarandon, Byrne and Simmons. That’s a powerful quartet right there, and the poster could be yours for free if you decide to enter. One potential winner will be determined from all eligible entries received during the entry period (10:30am on May 11 – 1:00pm on May 12) in a random drawing to be conducted at or about 4:00pm on May 12 by representatives of Indiewire. The winner will receive a grand prize of one signed “The Meddler” poster (approximate retail value $20.00). No purchase necessary.
To be eligible for the Indiewire “The Meddler” Poster Giveaway, you must have a valid, public Twitter account in good standing and follow Indiewire (@Indiewire).
