Rashida Jones Takes on ‘Baywatch’ in Exclusive ‘Angie Tribeca’ Video

Things heat up in this week's episode as the cops take to the beach.

Rashida Jones in "Angie Tribeca" Season 2

Jones has experience as a screenwriter and a documentarian in addition to her work on multiple TV series. Making her way through runs on “Boston Public” and “The Office,” Jones has been an indispensable lead on “Angie Tribeca,” which returns for Season 4 this year.

This week’s episode of “Angie Tribeca” has the cast in deep water.

According to TBS’s official synopsis, “After a string of suspicious drownings, Geils (Hayes MacArthur) goes undercover with the L.A. Lifeguards; however, Tribeca becomes worried. Why? She thinks he might be in too deep. He’s never been that strong of a swimmer, and the currents are deceivingly strong.”

Tonight’s episode will reportedly showcase Geils’ arc and “hilarious character development” that will continue throughout the season.

The sophomore season of the bizarre cop-procedural parody is as strong as ever according to IndieWire TV Critic Ben Travers, who advises, “What’s key in watching ‘Angie Tribeca’ is knowing that not all the gags have to make you bust a gut. They merely have to contribute to the overall sense of humor, lending a hand in support of each viewer’s subjective take on individual jokes.”

In an exclusive clip from tonight’s episode, the SWAT team hits the beach to nail down the source of the drownings, going so far as to hide beneath the sand in truly absurd “Angie Tribeca” fashion.

“Beach Blanket Sting-O” airs tonight at 9pm on TBS. Check out the exclusive sneak peek below.
