Elliott and the rock group collaborated on a new version of the Ray Parker Jr. song for Paul Feig’s remake, which stars “Saturday Night Live” alum and “Bridesmaids” writer-actress Kristen Wiig, “The Boss” star Melissa McCarthy, and current SNL cast members Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. Chris Hemsworth plays the receptionist Kevin in the remake.

The first single from the soundtrack is Elle King’s “Good Girls,” which was announced Friday morning. Other artists featured on the soundtrack include 5 Seconds of Summer, G-Eazy ft. Jeremih, Pentatonix, WALK THE MOON and Wolf Alice.

Longtime Feig fan Judd Apatow defended the “Ghostbusters” remake earlier this week by calling the film’s detractors “angry trolls” who probably also support a certain controversial presidential candidate. “I would assume there’s a very large crossover of people who are doubtful Ghostbusters will be great and people excited about the Donald Trump candidacy,” Apatow told Uproxx.  “I would assume they are the exact same people.”

RCA Records’ “Ghostbusters: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack” comes out July 15. Stay tuned for the full track listings, expected soon.
