If you haven’t been watching “Lady Dynamite,” Maria Bamford has a message for you. Netflix has unveiled a new infomercial-style call to action on behalf of the new series, which puts the renowned comedian front and center in 12 semi-autobiographical episodes. Bamford narrates the spot presenting the “Lady Dynamite Collection,” which promises to “changes you for most of the rest of your life, probably — guaranteed.”
“Imagine a group of people who make you laugh, cry and wonder where it all went right,” she says before unveiling the Collection, which consists mainly of a list of “comedy superstars” appearing on the show: Judd Apatow, Tig Notaro, Sarah Silverman, Patton Oswalt, Mary Kay Place, Fred Melamed, Ed Begley Jr. and more. “Think you’ve seen all Lady Dynamite has to offer?” she asks near the end. “You’re so stupid.”
The first season of “Lady Dynamite” premiered to strong reviews on May 20, with all episodes instantly available.
