Team Jacob, your day has come. Taylor Lautner is set to join the second season of “Scream Queens,” Fox’s comedy/horror series riffing on slasher-flick tropes among sorority sisters. He’ll be joining returning stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele and Abigail Breslin as well as fellow newcomer John Stamos.
Season two of “Scream Queens” shifts the action from a college campus to a hospital, with Lautner starring as Dr. Cassidy Cascade — a totally normal name sure to inspire confidence among his patients. Though his devotion to the Hippocratic Oath is undoubtedly beyond question, the good doctor comes under suspicion when more bodies than usual start piling up in the morgue.

Lautner is, of course, best known for playing a teenage werewolf in the “Twilight” movies, while Curtis is considered the original scream queen thanks to her iconic role in the “Halloween” series and Roberts has quietly emerged as one of the finest actors of her young generation. “Scream Queens” returns to Fox for its second season on September 20.
