How Homer Simpson Made His Choice Between Trump or Clinton

A television ad comparing the candidates helps Homer and Marge make their decision on who to vote for.

After months of being an undecided voter, Homer Simpson has thrown his endorsement behind Hillary Clinton – sort of. In a new “The Simpsons” clip titled “3 a.m.,” Marge and Homer wrestle with their voting choices for this election.

While in bed, Marge tells Homer that she won’t make love to him until she has decided who to vote for. They turn on the TV and watch an ad detailing the candidates’ reactions to a red-phone crisis at 3 in the morning. The commercial is a spoof of a pro-Clinton Super PAC commercial, which was released a couple weeks ago.

In Clinton’s situation, Bill answers the phone, only to hand it over to Hillary as she wakes up and says, “Yes, from now on it’s always for me.” As for Trump, the Republican presidential candidate is seen in bed, on his phone with a the book “Great Speeches by A. Hitler” next to him. When he gets the urgent call he says, “Not now, I’m on Twitter,” and finishes tweeting about how he exiled Elizabeth Warren. The phone keeps ringing, he picks up and finally assembles his hair and makeup team to get him all done up. Unfortunately he takes too long and by the time he’s ready it’s too late and the Chinese fleet is advancing on the U.S.

The video ends with the voiceover saying, “Paid for by Americans who are really starting to miss Obama.”
