After developing “Louie” with Louis C.K. and “Better Things” with Pamela Adlon, FX has turned its attention to Donald Glover’s “Atlanta.” The network just released six different teasers for the upcoming series, in which Glover and Brian Tyree Henry play cousins attempting to ascend the ranks of ATL’s hip-hop scene, with each one clocking in at just 15 seconds. Find all six of them below and, if you have 90 seconds to spare, maybe consider watching them as well.
Cut up and impressionistic, the teasers — “Work,” “Close Calls,” “Curry,” “Deja Vu,” “Alive” and “Hard Day” — offer little in terms of plot but much in the way of mood; there’s plenty of backward footage, a few police sirens and quick lines like “I had a weird dream.” Lakeith Stanfield and Zazie Beetz co-star.
Glover first signed on to write, executive produce and star in “Atlanta” back in 2013. The 10-episode first season is set to premiere with “The Big Bang” and “Streets on Lock” on September 6.
