Four years after debuting as an independent web series, “High Maintenance” is set to make its HBO debut. The marijuana-themed comedy created by the husband/wife team of Ben Sinclair and Katja Blichfeld has produced 19 episodes on its lonesome, with six more to be aired by the premium-cable network this fall. Check out its first trailer below.
Sinclair also stars in the show, playing a pot dealer in New York who delivers to various people throughout the city. The minute-long spot introduces us to a few of them, including one who observes that “only in Brooklyn can you smoke pot all day with your friends and call it a preschool for adults,” a girl who should probably be studying and a dude with an affinity for swords.

Blichfeld (a casting director who won an Emmy for her work on “30 Rock”) and Sinclair wrote and directed all six episodes from the forthcoming season, which begins Friday, September 16.
