Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds are gearing up for the launch of their sixteenth studio album “Skeleton Tree.” But before the LP is released, the rock band shared the first trailer for its accompanying film, “One More Time With Feeling”
Directed by Andrew Dominik, the documentary takes an in-depth look at the making of the album and features interviews and footage which details Cave’s struggle with the recent death of his son.
“Most of us don’t want to change, really. I mean, why should we?” wonders Cave in the black-and-white trailer. “But what happens when an event occurs that is so catastrophic that you just change? You change from the known person to an unknown person. So that when you look at yourself in the mirror, you recognize the person that you were, but the person inside the skin is a different person.”
The video shows Cave and the Bad Seeds performing, a violin being played in the background and various landscapes. On September 8, “One More Time With Feeling” will be screened in 3D and 2D in black-and-white and colour for one-night only in more than 650 theaters around the world. Their album, “Skeleton Tree,” will be released the following day.
