Naomi Watts hasn’t made a horror movie in many moons, but she’s hardly a stranger to the genre. “The Ring” solidified her as a star after she made her breakthrough with David Lynch’s “Mulholland Drive,” and the two-time Oscar nominee will soon reconnect to her genre roots with “Shut In.” The upcoming thriller just debuted its first trailer via USA Today, and thanks to the wonders of the internet you can watch it below.

“It’s not my son,” Watts’ character says of her catatonic child in the trailer’s opening moments. “It’s just a body that I feed and wash and clothe.” She has disturbing dreams of drowning him in the bathtub, shares her troubles with her therapist (Oliver Platt) and experiences all the usual joys of being in a thriller: doors shutting for no apparent reason, a boy (Jacob Tremblay of “Room”) disappearing.
Farren Blackburn (“The Fades,” Netflix’s “Daredevil”) directed “Shut In” from a Black List script by Christina Hodson. EuropaCorp will release the film in theaters on November 11.
