Gucci Mane and Harmony Korine aren’t done collaborating. After a supporting role in “Spring Breakers,” the rapper is set to appear in Korine’s upcoming “The Trap” alongside Benicio del Toro, Al Pacino and James Franco (“That’s my boy,” Gucci says in an interview with GQ Style).
Gucci also appeared in an ad for Supreme that Korine directed earlier this year. “Harmony is my close friend, so it was easy,” he tells GQ. “He’s super creative. Me and him work good together because we just freestyle shit, both of us don’t have no rigid mind state when we bring something to life. I love to act. It was just a great experience being in ‘Spring Breakers,’ and it was just the beginning.” Franco likewise starred in “Spring Breakers,” playing a character partially inspired by the rapper Riff Raff.
As for his other cinematic ventures, Gucci tells GQ he’s also producing and acting in a movie called “The Spot” that’s due out later this year.
