Radiohead has finally announced the winner of their fan-made short film contest. Back in July, the English rock band asked fans to submit a vignette using a new one-minute version of their song “Daydreaming,” tied to the release of their album “A Mood Shaped Pool.”
The group shared the winning clip, a trippy and colorful animated video created by Tim Urlacher (who goes by the name Affinitia), on their Instagram account writing: “Finally, the winner of the vignette competition, thank you to everyone who took part. Our favorite is from Affinitia.”
Tom Yorke even called the vignette “extraordinary” on Twitter.

During the past weeks, the quintet also released the shortlist submissions on their Instagram account. The prizes for the winner include a 35mm print of Paul Thomas Anderson’s video for “Daydreaming,” a limited edition screen print of Stanley Donwood’s “Wraith,” a special Radiohead disc, and a set of one-of-a-kind figurines that appeared in the music video for “Burn the Witch.”
