Hey New Hampshire, Ben Affleck wants you to vote!

In a new video from NextGen Climate and Funny Or Die’s Everyone Votes! Campaign, the “Batman v Superman” star and Boston native encourages voters in his “kid brother” state to turn out and vote in the upcoming election.

Wearing black pants, a flannel and a burnt orange vest, he begins by introducing himself, “My name is Benny ‘The Sweet One’ O’Callaghan, but you might know me by my Hollywood name, Ben Affleck.”

“I’m from Boston, and Boston is in New England which means that New Hampshire is just like my kid brother,” he says in his best Boston accent. “You know what I mean? I love New Hampshire. Have you ever been to New Hampshire? It’s f**cking beautiful, guy.”

Affleck continues by telling everyone how great a state New Hampshire is, how he grew up there (kind of), and reminds people to register and vote.

“So if you give a shit about women’s rights, if you care about keeping the environment safe for future generations,” he continues. “Then guess who’s got your back in this election. That’s right, my, basically, home state: New Hampshire.”

The video is part of NextGen Climate’s campaign aimed to educate young voters in this election. It also highlights the importance of voter turnout in swing state New Hampshire since it can determine the outcome for progressive issues like women’s rights and climate change.
