Political thriller “Homeland” returns for Season 6 with a new teaser, previously teased at the Television Critics Association (TCA) around the same time that Showtime announced the renewal of the show for an additional two seasons. It begins several months after the cliffhanger events of Season 5 which left everyone wondering: Is Quinn dead?
The preview for this award-winning show opens with footage from recent seasons, including an imminent terrorist attack with Carrie (Claire Danes) on the hunt for the truth. While no longer an operative for the CIA, she is still invested in piecing together the threads of this new threat, surrounding herself in a room filled with newspaper articles and photographs of suspects as she meditates.
We also get a few glimpses of Quinn (Rupert Friend), whose fate was left up in the air at the end of Season 5. While we’re given some answers, more questions arrive with suggestions of torture, moral quandaries concerning drone warfare and the affect of the presidential election during this continued war on terrorism. Will these past themes resurface in Season 6? We’ll have to wait and see.
