“The Man in the High Castle” explores what it would be like if the Allied Powers had lost WWII, and Japan and Germany ruled the United States. Based on the novel by Philip K. Dick, the first season was praised by critics and audiences for its depiction of a Nazi-led America, garnering two Emmy Awards including Outstanding Cinematography.
A new trailer and clip from the second season were released during the show’s New York Comic Con panel this weekend. It clip features Juliana Crain (Alexa Davalos) being interrogated by a member of the American Reich and head U.S. Nazi SS John Smith (Rufus Sewell). The actress is seen putting herself in the hands of the Nazis, seeking asylum from the Pacific States of America. Check out the clip below.
Executive produced by Ridley Scott and Frank Spotnitz, the second season promises more alternate worlds opening up. Political asylum, shifting loyalties, and betrayal are just a few of the big pillars in Season 2, as reported by Deadline. During the panel, EP David Zucker told audiences, “The thing about this show is one can not be casual about moving into new territories. We have to be deeply thoughtful.”
