Say it loud and proud, “I am a Hufflepuff!”
For far too long Eddie Redmayne, a proud badger and wearer of the yellow and black, and his fellow Hogwarts classmates have been called boring, beige and “nice.” Now, the Oscar-winning actor says that he will no longer be victimized and is standing up for his house.
“Hi there, I’m Eddie Redmayne and I am a Hufflepuff,” says the “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” star in a new PSA. “Actually no, I’m a proud Hufflepuff!”
“They call us boring. They call us beige. They say we’re the nice guys,” he continues. “But you know what? You know what I see in Hufflepuffs? I see loyalty. I see fierce friendship.”
Getting really passionate, he calls his classmates hardworking, compassionate, and says, “At the end of the day, we’re going to do the right thing, and not because of the glory. Not because of the glory, but for the greater good. Because, f*ck it! Sorry!”
Redmayne then reminds everyone that Cedric Diggory (Robert Pattinson) and Dwayne Johnson are members of Hufflepuff and concludes the video by saying that even J.K. Rowling said it’s her favorite house.
