Her “Sensual Pantsuit Anthem” may not have successfully swung the election in Hillary Clinton’s favor, but Lena Dunham still has work to do. “Girls” — which Dunham created and stars in — will return for its sixth and final season next year, and HBO has just released its first teaser for the dramedy. Watch it below.
“I haven’t made my mark on the city yet,” Dunham says in the 40-second spot, which also features mainstays Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, Adam Driver and Alex Karpovsky as they make their way through the wilds of adulthood (not to mention New York). “Girls” has been kind to Driver especially, helping him launch a film career that includes the new “Star Wars” trilogy and next month’s “Paterson.”
“Girls” first premiered in 2012 and has aired 52 episodes across its first five seasons. Season six, which will consist of 10 episodes, premieres on HBO on February 12, 2017.
