“Star Wars” fans have a lot to be thankful for this week. Disney has released a brand new extended clip from “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” The clip features Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) teaming up with Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) in their fight against the Empire.

Here’s the official synopsis:
In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.
A clip released on November 10 reveals a quick glimpse at Darth Vader, who has previously been seen in other sneak peeks, but has a looming presence in the recent teaser.
“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. The film was written by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy, based on the story by John Knoll and Gary Whitta. The movie opens in U.S. theaters on December 16, 2016.
