Samantha Bee Theorizes that Donald Trump Can’t Read on ‘Full Frontal’

This election has been one of conspiracies and rumor-mongering, with baseless speculation prefaced by weasel words like “many people are saying…” so as to seem credible. Samantha Bee, on her show “Full Frontal,” has answered with a theory of her own: Donald Trump can’t read. Watch below.

She’s not definitely saying he can’t read, mind — she’s just asking the question. Why, for instance, does he seem so reluctant to peruse a legal document during a taped deposition that was released earlier this summer? And why does he have a difficult time coming up with an answer other than the World War I novel “All Quiet on the Western Front” when asked about his favorite books?

Jon Stewart’s absence (and, to a lesser extent, that of Stephen Colbert in full-on “Colbert Report” mode) has been sorely felt over the last year-plus, but Bee has done an admirable job of filling it. This might be her best work yet.
