This year, Nicolas Cage starred in films about ex-cons kidnapping a mobster’s birthday, an imbalanced civilian trying to hunt down Osama Bin Laden and a WWII Navy Captain struggling to stay alive in shark-infested waters. Suffice to say, he’s an actor who takes on varied roles, and this January, audiences will see him again as a ruthless mobster who faces off against John Cusack (“High Fidelity”) and Adrian Grenier (“Entourage”)
The film follows the Lindel brothers, Mikey (Johnathon Schaech) and JP (Grenier), who had taken completely different paths in their adult life. JP found success as the owner of a construction company, while Mikey became a small-time mobster. But when Mikey is kidnapped by crime boss Eddit King (Cage), JP turns to his old friend Sal (Cusack), a plain clothes detective, for help. It co-stars Lydia Hull (“Escape Plan”), Christopher Coppola (“Deadfall”), William Mark McCullough (“Free State of Jones”) and more. Watch the trailer for the film below.
The film is directed by Steven C. Miller, who previously directed the thrillers “Marauders,” starring Bruce Willis and Christopher Meloni, “Silent Night,” about a killer Santa Claus, and “The Aggression Scale.”
“Arsenal” will be released in theaters and On Demand on January 6, from Lionsgate.
