Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning star in Sofia Coppola’s upcoming remake of the 1971 film “The Beguiled.” Principal production for the project began this past October, though now it seems that the lead ladies are wrapping up on set.
Dunst, who portrays Edwina Dabney, shared a new photo on Instagram of her with Fanning in costume. “Last day,” the actress captioned the image.
Angourie Rice, who also stars in the film, also shared a personal photo, writing, “Going to miss this dress, thanks for a great show y’all.”
Over the last months, both Fanning and Dunst had been sharing plenty of pics from the set, even channeling Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” in one of them.
Based on Thomas P. Cullinan’s 1966 novel “A Painted Devil” and set during the Civil War, the film’s story follows a Union soldier imprisoned in a Confederate girls’ boarding school who disrupts the environment and slowly turns the women against each other. The remake also co-stars Nicole Kidman and Colin Farrell.
