Though it received a tepid critical reaction and a disappointing box office performance, Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” still made history by being the first film to feature two of America’s most iconic superheroes on the same screen. Now, Snyder is already prepping the DC Extended Universe’s next film “Justice League,” which will feature Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Aquaman and more. But before that, Snyder has made a mashup fan trailer between “Batman v Superman” and “Star Wars,” which he posted on the social media site Vero. Watch “Dark Side Knight v SuperJedi: Dawn of the Alliance” below, which features a mix of “Star Wars” soundbites and imagery from the franchise amidst the “Batman v Superman” landscape.
“In anticipation of ‘Rogue One,’ I wanted to share a little ‘Star Wars’ fan film I made after JJ released his Hunka Junk mash-up…long overdue,” Snyder says. He’s referring to a video J.J. Abrams made back in 2014 that featured footage of the Batmobile cameo on the Millenium Falcon while filming “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
Zack Snyder’s next film “Justice League” will open in theaters nationwide on November 17, 2017, courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures. Meanwhile, the latest “Star Wars” film “Rogue One” will hit theaters next week.
