Jennifer Lawrence is out making the rounds promoting her new movie “mother!,” but that isn’t the only matriarch on her mind. The subject of Hurricane Irma came up during an interview with Britain’s Channel 4, prompting the jokey actress to get serious for a minute: “You’re watching these hurricanes now, and it’s hard — especially while promoting this movie, not to feel Mother Nature’s rage and wrath.”
“It’s scary to know, it’s been proven through science, that climate change is due to human activity,” she added. “And we continue to ignore it, and the only voice we have is through voting. Lawrence takes the lead in Darren Aronofsky’s new thriller, which just premiered in Venice and co-stars Javier Bardem, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Harris, and Domhnall Gleeson.
The conversation then shifted to Donald Trump, as so many seem to these days, what with Lawrence’s mention of voting and climate change. “I don’t find him confusing. I think I know exactly what he is,” she replied to a question. Watch the full interview below.
