After releasing a teaser trailer at the beginning of June, 20th Century Fox has unveiled the official trailer for Kenneth Branagh’s “Murder on the Orient Express,” an adaptation of Agatha Christie’s 1934 detective story. In addition to directing the film, Branagh is taking on the role of Christie’s iconic Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot, who investigates the murder in question while he aboard a luxury train traveling through Europe.
Rounding up the thirteen passengers in question are some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, including Michelle Pfeiffer, Penelope Cruz, Judi Dench, Willem Dafoe, Daisy Ridley, Josh Gad, and Johnny Depp. Everyone on board has a past and a motive to kill, and with the train stuck in deep snow and the clock ticking, it’s up to Poirot to figure out who is guilty before the murderer strikes again.
“Murder on the Orient Express” hit theaters on November 10, and it’s sure to be a thrilling update to the classic Christie story, which first hit the big screen in 1974 with Sidney Lumet’s adaptation.
