In this era of nostalgia and reboots, any number of movies and TV shows have been brought back from the dead: “Full House,” “The Mummy,” maybe even “The Office.” One of the biggest shows of the ’90s has not, however: “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” During an appearance on “The Graham Norton Show,” Will Smith talked about the potential for a reboot — and why he can’t watch himself on the original anymore. “It was my very first role, and I was very, very focused on being successful, so I learned the whole script and everyone else’s lines,” Smith says of his acting. “If you watch the first four or five episodes, you can see I’m mouthing other people’s lines. It’s terrible and I can’t bear to watch it.”
As for reviving “Fresh Prince,” the “Bright” star is more skeptical: “Man, I’d have to be Uncle Phil in that one now ― I’m nearly 50!” Were we ever so young?
