Diane Kruger took many by surprise at Cannes in 2017, when she won Best Actress for her role at Katja in Fatih Akin’s “In the Fade.” But the award was well deserved, Kruger’s raw performance is unforgettable as a grieving woman seeking answers and revenge after her family is murder in an attack by neo-Nazis. Kruger, who received an award at the inaugural IndieWire Honors last year, said the role was one of her most demanding endeavors yet, one that required months of training of both the physical and emotional variety.

“In the Fade” is currently available on Digital HD, but to celebrate the film’s Blu-ray release on May 1 we’ve giving away five copies of Fatih Akin’s Cannes-winner to five lucky winners based in the United States.
