Oscar Frontrunners 'Boyhood' and 'Birdman' Each Win Three Awards from New York Film Critics Online
“Boyhood” took home awards for Picture, Director and Supporting Actress Patricia Arquette, while Alejandro González Iñárritu’s “Birdman” also won three, for Screenplay, Cinematography and Ensemble Cast.
Actor Eddie Redmayne scored Best Actor for “The Theory of Everything” and Marion Cotillard racked another win for her performance in “Two Days, One Night,” which like the Boston Film Critics also won for Foreign Language Film. J.K. Simmons won yet again for Supporting Actor in “Whiplash.” Steve James’ Roger Ebert doc “Life Itself” won Best Documentary, and “Th Lego Movie” won Best Animated Feature.
