One Last Attempt to Predict the 2018 Academy Awards — IndieWire’s Movie Podcast

If you really want to win the office pool, you can't ignore the crafts.

Oscar season may often seem like it’ll never end, but rest assured, there is a finish line — and this one’s just a few days away. The 2018 Academy Awards are some of the most unpredictable ones in ages, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a few frontrunners. However, anyone keen on winning the office pool must look beyond the major categories. Just because you know the Best Picture race has come down to “The Shape of Water” and “Three Billboards” doesn’t mean you’re also up to speed on sound mixing. This week’s episode of Screen Talk should come in handy, as co-hosts Eric Kohn and Anne Thompson discuss the craft categories and take one last stab at predicting Sunday’s events.
