Attention TV Producers: New Festival SeriesFest is Looking Produced Pilots

SeriesFest: Season One — a new television content festival launching this year — announced this week the first edition of the festival will be held in Denver, CO.

Beginning March 1, SeriesFest will be accepting produced pilots, along with a Season 1 development plan, to be considered for inclusion in the inaugural festival lineup.

“At a time when entertainment is evolving across multiple platforms, there are even more opportunities to present a diverse range of programming and talent,” said SeriesFest CEO Randi Kleiner. “As trailblazers in independent content development, we aim to create a global market place for episodic storytelling.”

In contrast with MIPCOM and MIPTV, SeriesFest appears to place an increased amount of emphasis on curation rather than the facilitation of a marketplace for buyers and sellers to meet and negotiate. Whether or not that bodes well for the content that ends up in the festival, however, remains to be seen.

The regular deadline to submit to SeriesFest is April 30 while the late deadline gives you until May 15. For more information on how to submit, click here.
