Logline:Lizzy and Tim made a pact to get married at 30. One caveat: they can’t STAND each other. But a promise is a promise, so let’s just get stupid married already GAWD.
Elevator Pitch: Lizzy and Tim made a pact to get married if they were still single at 30. But instead of going away and meeting up years later on a skyscraper observation deck, they jumped right into planning to torture each other forever. They don’t want to share, they can’t stand each other (or even listen to each other for like ONE second) but a promise is a promise, so let’s just get stupid married already, GAWD. SHUT UP I CAN’T EVEN LOOK AT YOUR FACE ANYMORE. Created by comedy performers from the Upright Citizens Brigade, “30 Rock” and more!
Production Team:
About the Film: “SHAM” came from a thought I had while walking down 6th Avenue in Manhattan. There’s a Container Store across the street from a Bed Bath & Beyond, and I thought that it would be an interesting place for a fight. What would that look like in the middle of a bustling city street? The idea grew into multiple scripts, and finally two characters that I love. Tim and Lizzy have affection for each other, but that’s blocked by the crippling stress of the “time to get married.” I wanted to make a fun, silly piece that also comments on societal pressure.
Current Status: We’ve completed post-production on a trailer and the first two episodes, with more episodes currently in pre-production.
