Tweetable Logline:

A comedy about three friends that get stuck at a remote lakehouse and must prevent their depressed friend Steve from killing himself.

Elevator Pitch:

Steve Chong is a failure. Having ruined every opportunity in his life, he decides to end it. But first, he invites his estranged group of friends to a secluded lake-house in the swamps of Louisiana for a final weekend of relaxation and intoxication. John, Tom and Chris, who have problems of their own, have to learn to deal with each other as they uncover the dark yet humorous trail of Steve’s suicidal tendencies. Caught up in their own problems, not one of them can predict exactly what Steve has planned.

About the Production:

“This film is the product of a close-knit group of filmmakers from the University of New Orleans, driven by the disillusionment of post film-school life and the belief that we were capable of something greater. We looked at the resources we had, which wasn’t much, and realized we at least had a visually compelling location out at Stanley’s lake-house. Pulling from personal experiences with the slump of post college life, we went out to the lake-house for a weekend to brainstorm and the story really wrote itself throughout the course of that crazy drunken night.” — the film’s producers

Current Status:

Raising funds for post-production.
