Here’s your daily dose of an indie film in progress — at the end of the week, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite. In the meantime: is this a movie you’d want to see? Tell us in the comments.

Man in Ceiling

Tweetable Logline: Working late one night, an anxious young temp discovers an ex-employee hiding in the ceiling of his office.

Elevator Pitch: In an attempt to get his life together, Ryan, a slacker in his mid-20s, gets a data entry job in a soul-crushing cubicle farm. He volunteers to pull an all-nighter to finish a time-sensitive project for the company. But while alone in the office late at night, Ryan discovers a dying, disheveled man hiding above the ceiling tiles. He’s an ex-employee, the guy Ryan’s essentially replacing, and he needs help… Kafka meets computers in “Man in Ceiling,” a bizarre tale of one man at the foot of the corporate ladder meeting another at the end of his rope.

About the Film: My generation’s a confused lot. We were raised to think we could be anything we wanted, and then were thrust into a tanking economy. When I graduated college, there was a pervasive feeling that loving your job was a luxury; that you were lucky to find employment, period. It’s probably still like that, and maybe it’s always been that way. With “Man In Ceiling,” I wanted to tell a story about a young person trying desperately to embrace his lackluster job while grappling with what he truly wants in life. And I tried to make that as funny as possible.

Current Status: JUST wrapped production, trying to enter post.
